You've got questions, we have answers. Here's everything you need to know about our Perfecting Peel
A chemical peel is a skincare treatment that involves applying a special solution to the skin to exfoliate and remove the top layers. This process helps to reveal fresher, smoother skin underneath. Chemical peels can improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, and texture, as well as address issues like acne and hyperpigmentation. The peel works by stimulating the skin’s natural regeneration process, leading to a more radiant and youthful complexion over time.
Yes, chemical peels are safe when performed by trained professionals. The treatment is carefully controlled to target specific layers of the skin, ensuring that it’s effective while minimizing risks. You might experience some redness, tingling, or mild peeling afterward, which is a normal part of the skin’s healing process. It’s important to follow the aftercare instructions provided by your skincare professional to protect your skin and achieve the best results. Chemical peels are a well-established and trusted method for rejuvenating the skin.
During a chemical peel, you might feel a mild tingling or a warm, slightly stinging sensation as the solution is applied to your skin. This is usually brief and subsides once the peel is neutralized or completed. The intensity can vary depending on the type of peel and your skin’s sensitivity, but most people find it tolerable. After the treatment, your skin may feel a bit tight or sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn, but this usually fades within a few days. Overall, while there’s some discomfort, it’s generally mild and manageable.
A good candidate for this chemical peel is someone looking to improve the overall texture and tone of their skin. It’s especially effective for those with concerns like fine lines, wrinkles, uneven skin tone, mild to moderate acne, or hyperpigmentation. This peel can be suitable for most skin types, but it’s best to avoid it if you have very sensitive skin, active infections, or certain skin conditions like eczema. A consultation with our Skin Experts will help determine if this peel is the right choice for your specific skin needs and goals.
